Katavi National Park

Katavi National Park found in  Katavi Region, Tanzania is the third-largest national park in Tanzania. The park is comprised of the Katuma River and the seasonal Lake Katavi and Lake Chada floodplains.

The park has a variety of wildlife features including several animal herds, particularly  Cape Buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and elephants, and the Katuma River, crocodiles, and hippopotami which in annual dry seasons results in mudholes which are packed with hundreds of hippos. cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, leopards, and lions also roam the park.
