Day 1: Arrive At Entebbe & Fly To Bwindi Via Kihihi Airstrip

Journey Time: 1 Hr: 30 Min

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be assisted by our representative to proceed to the check-in area for a domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, landing at Kihihi Airstrip with a road transfer to the lodge. Upon check-in spend the rest of the day at leisure with meals at the lodge.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Located in southwestern Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys, and steep ridges. This untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its breath-taking natural beauty and unique ecological significance.

Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions, there are other drawcards such as a network of forest walks, over 340 species of bird to spot, and a variety of butterflies.
Optional Activities: Batwa Cultural Trail & Community/Nature walk
Buhoma Community Village Walk
This walk provides guests with an opportunity to support the local community whilst enjoying visiting various interesting places as you follow a walking trail through the village. Get a chance to interact with the Batwa –indigenous forest people. Highlights include the traditional healer, banana brewery, and visit a local Primary school where you may interact with the children

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Day | Optional Activities

Early Breakfast, and transfer to the Park Headquarters for briefing before Gorilla Tracking. Get up close & personal with the Gorillas and spend a full hour watching, photographing & learning more about the giant apes limited to only Uganda, Rwanda & the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Birding is also among the activities, as the park is home to over 348 bird species (African green broadbill, Shelley’s crimson & more), together with 220 butterfly species awaiting your visit. Thereafter return to the lodge for lunch, with optional activities in the evening.

Day 3: Transfer To Kihihi, Flight To Entebbe & Departure

Journey time: 2 hours

After breakfast depending on your domestic flight schedule, depart the lodge by road to Kihihi airstrip & upon arrival hop onto your domestic flight to Entebbe where upon arrival you will check in for your outbound departure.
