The 7Days Great Lakes Safari Kenya by Neza Safaris is an ultimate safari in terms of bird watching, wildlife viewing & scenic adventure safari. With this safari option you will visit Kenya Highlands – the Aberdares and Mount Kenya then the Great Rift Valley Park Lakes & crown the tour with a visit to world-renowned Masai Mara an all-round wildlife hotspot not to be missed.
Day 1: Nairobi, Upon arrival at JKIA airport you will be met by our staff and transferred to Fairview hotel for check in and the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight Fairview hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Nairobi – Aberdares; Meet and greet will be followed by a joint discussion of this itinerary before departure. Begin your safari journey to Mt. Kenya region. This will be a relaxed drive with your driver pointing out any new sightings on the way. Arrive at your lodge in time for Lunch. Afternoon you will be transferred to Aberdares National park. Evening game watching at a floodlit waterhole. Watch animals as they come for water and scratch for salt from the comfort of your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the ARK Lodge.
Day 3: Aberdares-Lake Bogoria, After an early morning breakfast, check out and take a scenic drive via Thomson’s Falls where you will stop to view the scenic waterfalls. Proceed via Tea/coffee plantation arriving at Lake Bogoria for lunch. In the afternoon proceed to the reserve to see the Hot Springs and the Geysers and then return back to the resort for Dinner. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bogoria Resort & Spa.
Day 4: Lake Bogoria – Lake Nakuru (Game drive) – Lake Naivasha, Leaving Bogoria, you travel to Lake Nakuru. The lake is often colored by a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en route to the lodge. Following lunch and another early afternoon game drive in the park. At 4 o’clock, leave Lake Nakuru and travel to Lake Naivasha for overnight. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara, Early morning breakfast followed by a departure with Game viewing en-route to the exit. Drive to Masai Mara arriving in time for late lunch. Evening game drive in this paradise of animals. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara, Spend the whole day in game viewing. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop point for game viewing. Look out for the “BIG FIVE”, Predators, Star Ventures and much more as they roam freely in this game park. Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration river crossing [july-september]. Return to your lodge in the evening for Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 7: Masai Mara-Nairobi, This is the last day of our safari and we will have an optional early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast leaves Masai Mara and drives back to Nairobi with lunch en-route. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon & transfer to your resident hotel or to the airport for your onward flight back home.
Upon arrival at JKIA airport you will be met by our staff and transferred to T hotel for check in and a remainder of the day at leisure. Tamarind Tree Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
Leave Nairobi after breakfast to Samburu, heading north, you’ll pass near Thika and continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. After Nanyuki town, you’ll continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here it’s a fairly short hop to Samburu. Arrival at the lodge in time for lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets.Overnight at Ashnil Samburu camp on a full board basis.
Early morning game drive is followed by breakfast, and time to relax by the camp pool or the terrace overlooking the river. After lunch, there will be another game drive returning to the camp as the sunsets. Overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp on a full board basis.
Leave after breakfast and drive south and into the forests of the Aberdare Mountain range arriving at Outspan Hotel for lunch and then afternoon transfer to the Treetops Lodge.Located in the Aberdare National Park, the Treetops Lodge Nyeri tree-house lodge on stilts is famous as the place where Queen Elizabeth II visited as a princess and left as queen. Originally built in 1932, Treetops Lodge lies in the path of an ancient Elephant migratory route between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya National park, and is strategically sited right in front of a natural watering hole and salt lick, making it the perfect place to view game. Treetops is as much a part of nature as it has an ancient tree growing right through the hotel, with the lodge being built around it. It is the perfect fusion of nature and comfort sporting a rustic look that fits right into the Aberdares.

An early morning start takes you North West as you head for Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson’s Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Now travel in a southerly direction to your next destination, the spectacular Lake Nakuru. This is often colored a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill game Lodge on a full board basis. On the outskirts of the bustling market town of Nakuru lies a truly remarkable national park which has achieved international fame. Both black and white rhino are being given a new lease of life in this 188 sq km, fully-fenced park – and they are carefully protected. The present rhino population is over 50 and continuing to multiply. The Rothschild’s giraffe is another rarity and the park has its fair share of buffalo, leopard, zebra, eland, waterbuck and lion
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Narok town via Mai-Mahiu with a brief a rest stop and proceed on to Mara arriving in time for lunch at Mara Simba Lodge. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive returning back to the lodge as the sunsets.

Early morning game drives in the reserve returning back to your camp for breakfast. After breakfast Full day spend in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles with a visit to Mara river. In the late afternoon on your way back to the camp, A visit to a Maasai village and a school at an Extra Cost. In the evening spend a few hours enjoying the lodges’ recreational facilities such as the swimming pool or you may take a walk with the resident lodge naturalist. Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure camp.
After breakfast you’ll depart the Maasai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. You’ll arrive into Kenya’s bustling capital in the early afternoon. Once in the city, you will be dropped off at Sarova Panafric Hotel for overnight on bed& breakfast.
After breakfast, time at leisure and later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
